Purpose

The purpose of the Gatum flux station is:

• identify differences in water use between pastures and plantations.

• quantify evapotranspiration for use in and validation of simple catchment-scale hydrological models.

• quantify long-term carbon exchanges (photosynthesis and respiration) between ecosystem and atmosphere.
