How To Get There

For participants flying in, two shuttle buses from Hobart International Airport to CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere's Laboratories will be provided on Monday the 9th.

The first bus will leave a little after 10:00, and the second a little after 13:00. There are a few flights which arrive just before these times, so the intention is to provide a service for these flights. If you intend to use the shuttle service, please e-mail your name, estimated arrival time, and flight number to Tim Wardlaw from Forestry Tasmania, who is kindly arranging the shuttle bus service.

Tim will meet people inside the airport near the cafe outside the secure area ‐ between the check-in area and the Virgin arrivals. If there are too many to fit in the shuttle bus, it's an opportunity to share a cab fare!

Redline Coaches run the Hobart Airport Shuttle service. From the airport it meets all arriving flights and costs $18 one way or $32 for a return trip for adults (pension/child/YHA is $14 or $25). While the CSIRO labs are not an official drop off point, the driver may drop people there or within walking distance if requested. Otherwise they drop off to most of the hotels, or very nearby. Redline suggest that you pre-purchase your ticket online. Alternatively you may make a telephone booking by phoning 1300 38 55 11 (Daily 8.00am‐6.00pm) and purchase your ticket from the driver. Inbound bookings are not mandatory, but those with bookings will get preference if the shuttles fill to capacity.
