The Sturt Plains flux station is located approximately 280km north of Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.
It was established  in August 2008 and is managed by The University of Western Australia 
 and Charles  Darwin University 
. 
The Sturt  Plains flux station is part of the Australia Flux Tower network (OzFlux) and  the international FLUXNET 
. This site contributes to the  Australian Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network TERN 
.
